There was a certain irony as Ruth took this pic to mark the moment Dave and I headed into the water ‘sans wetsuits’ on the first day of Winter. The irony was that Ruth was also sans wetsuit as she took the pic and was happily chirping about how brave we boys were. Hmmm. I think Dave and I qualify only for a minor bravery medal by comparison with the real Winter Idiots such as Linda and Ruth!!
(The water temp is apt 17.5 and in truth, it was a fun splash out to the post via a yacht on the left until exiting into a very refreshing southerly wind).
The other pic of me, Linda and Roo was meant to be posted on Monday. (I blame my lack of tech skills). Roo was enjoying a brief day off in Moman before heading to Italy/Poland/Switzerland/Bulgaria for a European rowing tour with the Australian Rowing team. (She managed a quick splash out to the cones and back). Roo is in the Australian Women’s Quad and I’ll bore you all to tears with the news over the coming weeks! 
Love the head piece Dave! Perhaps i could borrow it for Royal Ascot? I must say I did miss all but Linda this morning – but it was still divine… and not cold at all! Who needs wetsuits!!!
