It was not so long ago that the swimming idiots had to contend with a blackout on the approach to the Almora St steps leading down to the beach because one of the lights was permanently faulty. After much complaint and some lamppost shaking the problem was fixed restoring light and safety to the steps – very important in the dark depths of early morning swimming.
Now we are faced with another problem: No water pressure to speak of in the tap off the footpath along the beach or in the shower near the steps on the sand. This is not only infuriating for those trying to get sand off their feets or salt off their bodies after a swim but wasteful. This is because it takes more water to do this than would be the case with proper pressure. Complaints to the council seem to be falling on deaf ears by all accounts. Maybe the case should be taken up in the letters columns of the Mosman Daily which council reads religiously. This is not just a problem for SI’s but for anyone using the beach.
Thanks for completing the story Malcolm as I spent more than a few minutes yesterday trying to work out what it all meant 🙂 Letters to the Editor is a great idea!

Obviously the SI’s want to get the sand off their feet ( not feets) but you know what I mean.M.
