Actually…it is not Cobblers but The Palm Beach to Whale Beach BIG SWIM on Sunday January 29….and my fellow IDIOTS are up for the challenge again…at the back of the pack in the Fins & Skins category.
A leisurely 2.5 + km swim around a headland that never seems to end…..
Hoping …no praying for a smooth morning & calm seas….
I want to salute Ruth…who this morning on the shores of Balmoral threw out the motivation to us all to take part & register…waving her official BIG SWIM green fluro bathing cap about her head…she suggested we should try & attain the status she already has ! Bravo Ruth….your challenge has been accepted !
I might also add that given the swim this morning….that under no circumstances do we let lead & follow the swim route of Dave Sanney & Chris Meredith ….if we do…we’ll be landing at Kilcare instead of Whaley !

Yes, WELL DONE Ruth! I think we need sonar pinging devices fitted so that we know how close or far we are from each other. Chris agreed to accompany me on the longer route as I need the exercise, but ironically you guys ended up swimming further! 🙂
