Chris arrived this morning for a swim nursing a severely bruised and swollen foot. Not deterred by this setback, he showed great fortitude to swim with Bevan, Dave, and Linda to the post and beyond. Bevan was also in the wars with a sore shoulder and knee.
Today’s route was out to the post (when we found it), down to the yacht with the black awning, across to the second cone and back in.
Distance swum was about 840 metres.
When the sun finally rose at 6.53am, the cloud cover was spectacular. Those absent also missed seeing the Young Endeavour at anchor.

Hopefully you didn’t watch Channel 7 news tonight Ian, as we may not see you for dust 😉 I didn’t appreciate them drawing us a picture!
Agree that it’s too frickin’ dark but we did wait a bit…
We can use your teeth as navigation lights!
Hhmmm ! Looking at those photos, I must say, that I may be absent a few more times until daylight savings departs. It is darker than a coal miner’s lunch kettle! Whilst the clouds looked wonderful, the young endeavour younger than I have ever seen her it is still too frickin’ dark to be heading out to the pin! I too did a midday swim yesterday and must concur with my esteemed idiot RBJ, visibility was indeed 100% with zero crowds.
I have a dental appointment at 8.00am munyana, so in all likelihood, will be a non starter as well. Look for the glowing Shane Warne teeth the following morning though.
Sorry I missed the swim in the dark this morning….I did go for a gentle paddle at 11.30am – visibility 100%, zero crowd (absolutely no one in the water) …..but the conversation was sadly lacking! Hope to be there on Thursday morning…..
I see Ken’s new sign is in place…..!
Ken’s new sign? Did that go up today? Thursday morning you say? Is work getting in the way or too dark? Was the Young Endeavour still there?
