I think it’s fair to say all of our egos were stroked a little this morning as me, Judy, Dave, Dave and Richard were given a supermodel opportunity to show off our swimming skills in front of Adam (photographer) and Andrea (Journalist) from the Mosman Daily. We started off with a photoshoot (that kind of took the place of our planned swim). It included swimming in formation, swimming over Adam (below us with underwater camera) and then continued with portrait shots. We were cold by the end, so I’m sure Adam who was without wetsuit was freezing! We then followed up with totally true yarns to the jounno about how far we swim (sometimes as far as 94 kms!!) and how many sharks we fight off (big packs of great whites!!). I grabbed some shots of the shoot in action and ‘shot of the day’ goes to Dave’s feet (captured mid butterfly stroke) We’ll see what appears in the papers… eekk!
(Oops -nearly missed a mention of the monster ray that attacked Judy during one of the photo ‘sets’).
I hope they use your shots for the Mosman Daily – they’re brilliant Chris. My skin turning ‘blue’ with cold doesn’t seem to be showing up in these pictures after the 30 minutes in the water…oh what we do for fame & fortune.
