Smooth as a Baby’s Bottom 3

A pretty dark start but a water surface as smooth as a baby’s bottom and a glowing red sun-rise made for a spectacular swim this morning….Linda led the way out, SBJ followed with Sutho and Bevan stroking out a little further adrift after checking out a sting-ray and waving good bye to Dave…who withdrew with shoulder problems….”leave no man behind” is the call but changed by Sutho to “leave no mans’ behind!” RBJ out with a sore throat with new recruits expected to arrive for Friday’s swim.

Out at the “Idiot pin”, Kayaks with nav. lights lit up the water… and gave a path for Linda to return to shore… whilst Bevan, Sutho & Stephen swam in superb synchronised order to the island and then home.

A beauty……

Thanks Ian. It was pretty amazing and I just uploaded some video of it too. I’m not sure whether you would appreciate if I posted the video of you walking out of the water with that plastic bag… I’ll send it to you and you can tell me whether you approve 🙂

Great post Stephen! You set the scene perfectly 🙂

I learnt today that it was a “stingaree” that we saw, not a stingray.
