Strange to relate on this stunning morning that there were only a handful of idiots at the beach. It was near perfect conditions, both outside and in the water with nary a breeze blowing. Judy, Dave U., and Dave set off to swim between a beautiful luxury cruiser going by the name of “Conclave” and a large yacht, then heading for the shrunken stump of a post, before returning to the dirty cone and in. It was a quickie for these three as they had places to go, people to see, etc. etc.
There were ice patches aplenty and Dave’s wet-suit felt like a sea anchor rather than the slimming, efficient swimming device that it’s supposed to be.
Also enjoying the aforementioned swimming conditions were Josie, Linda, Di, Ruth, Rod, Bunny, Catherine, John, and Janet (who also had a swim yesterday). Well done to everyone who made it down.
Now that the water temp has dipped below 18C, wet-suits that aren’t sea-anchors are a go 😉
