Whilst some of us are gallivanting around the countryside, the rest of us are enjoying a lovely 18C degrees swim in the mild, almost clear waters of Balmoral. A slight breeze was blowing this morning and the water felt cooler whilst Judy, Dave U, and Dave prepared for their swim. The course for today was down to the baths, then back around Squid Inc. and on to the dirty cone then home. Surprisingly cool stretch of water for 80 metres then warmth. A contingent of paddle-boarders and kayakers were out and about too. I spotted a few schools of fish in the shallows, but capturing them on film proved impossible.
The inshore crowd of Linda, Louise, Janice, Gail, Rod, Tony, Robyn, Ken, Di, Vic & Rosemary, Margo, John, Bob, Robert, Mike, and Debbie (who did I leave out?) enjoyed the cooler water interlaced with some warm patches. All in all a lovely morning for a swim.
Only one more degree to go before we can whip out the wetsuits! Yeah!
So hope I can join you all before the rain arrives….bewdiful morning for a swim today.
Unfortunately…I did take a “tea bag’ dip yesterday arvo. & my right ear filled up with water again & I was deaf as a post. Hopefully some Qantas ear plugs, a bathing cap & the promise of a visit to the Doc. next week will have me there tomorrow or friday at least…..
