Quite a fun morning taking the water temp with sets of dumpers rolling in. Josey had to pick her moment to dash into the water. A guy casually strolled from the water without looking behind. I gesticulated madly but he was oblivious. Luckily it was a small dumper and he emerged unscathed.
I kicked into lifesaver mode when Meg’s flippered feet negotiated the strong wash on her way in. Fortunately there were no mishaps.
Also “enjoying” a swim today were Bruce, Peter, Claire, Rod & Pam, and Raglan St Rob.
Only the brave/idiots ventured in today with a water temp reading of 14.4C! Even with protection, my hands and head felt the cold for about 100m and then again at the end of my second lap. Coffee time with Bob, Paul, Dennis and Linda for the first sitting and back again with John, Judy, Henry, and Georgia for round two. Delightful 🙂
The dumpers had calmed by the time we returned from coffee but the sets assaulting North Head were massive, reaching half way up the cliffs.
Good to hear that Di will be returning next week and what I shame I read her comment well past sunrise as that would have been spectacular viewing.
