We have been waiting a while to make that pronouncement. Judy unfortunately picked up a bug in ‘Barthelona’ so her trip into the 16C water this morning has been forestalled.
There was a bit of a swell with strong waves crashing into the shoreline and anyone who didn’t get out of the way fast enough. Robert told me he came acropper. Fortunately no damage was done.
Dave, Chris and I stood in the shallows, setting our sights on the cat “Island Idyll”. We collectively gasped when the water suddenly rose to our armpits. Deciding that wasn’t fun at all, we were off and racing. The water was pretty murky and a bit lumpy. At the cat there was a strong current taking us out the Heads if we had let it. Dave set off back to shore whilst Chris and I headed over to the tip of the island to check out the surf. There was a strong pull onto the rocks if you weren’t too careful.
Seasoned Idiots enjoying a dip included Meg, Ruth, Rod, Robert, Malcolm & Chris, Pam, Ken (temp-gatherer), and Gail.
Robert J. has decided that Noosa is a better place to swim. I don’t know what possessed him to think that 😉
In other news, Rowena Meredith and Team Australia have won a Silver Medal in the Women’s Quadruple Sculls at the World Rowing Cup in Poland. Awesome effort girls!
only 16 C this morning? I was down early, in and out by 6am, felt very mild to me, I would have thought at least 17 deg. Diana
