As I fulfill my temp water measuring duties, I’ve been amused by the expectation that the water temp should be constant, regardless of which end of the beach you are standing… or other idiots who adamantly refute the findings. Whilst writing up the day’s findings, locals have stopped to ask me “Where’s Ken?” It’s a good question!
Last week thanks to a push/storm front from outside the Heads, the water temperature leapt to 18.1C degrees on Friday. Awesome! Today the temp has dipped down to 16.5C. Still sensational for this time of the year.
So for the record:
- 31/7 | Mon | 17C
- 1/8 | Tue | 16.25C
- 2/8 | Wed | 17.5C
- 3/8 | Thu | 17.5C
- 4/8 | Fri | 18.1C
- 5/8 | Sat | 17C
- 6/8 | Sun | 16.5C
Idiot numbers are slightly down with a few people away. However, those of us around to enjoy the water include Dave, Dave U, Chris, Bevan, Louise, Di L., Di E., Judith, Claire, Pam, Rod, Sally, Ruth, Meg, Bunny, Josie, Janice, Deb, Sutho, and Richard (for the occasional splash).
Judy and John returned today from a sojourn to Stadbroke Island for a Chamber music spectacular, then skiing down south where the snow looked plentiful.
