A great roll-up at the beach this morning including a younger Basil-Jones who wasn’t perturbed in the slightest by the cooler water… perhaps that great attitude will rub off on his father and uncle… 🙂
Malcolm was revelling in the conditions and enjoying a leisurely backstroke until he felt a stab of pain on the back of his leg. The sensation dissipated only to return when he emerged from the water. Jimbles 1 Malcolm 0
Dave F, Judy, Bevan and Dave did an “Around the Bay” swim this morning. The only sea creatures we encountered were about a gazillion and one jellyfish – little blobs to large moon-jellies. Bevan also sighted a Jimble far, far below.
Judy’s turbo propelled feet made light work of the distance. Well done Judy! Dave F. left Dave in his wake around the 130m mark. Dave made it look effortless. Oh, to swim like that… Has someone moved Belle as it seemed to be a long way away?!
Bevan who has been sunning himself in Split and farther flung places, left Dave behind nearing Belle. Great swimming Bevan!
Stopped at the post to enjoy a breather then it was off to Bevan’s rock, down the island and a dugong to the steps. Lovely.
Also seen out and about today were Mike, Mondo and Suzie who have been spending the weekend preparing for the wedding of the century, Jan, Catherine, Bob, Kerstin, Di, Ruth, Rod, Josie, Chris and Malcolm, Paul, Dennis, Meg, Sally, Rosie and Vic, Peter, Tony, the builders spotted departing the scene around 5:45am, and a few others whose names allude me for the moment.
Notable absentees: Linda in Byron, Chris down south, Matt…, Sutho…, Richard…, Stephen…, Rob… and yes I am aware of people in glass houses… 🙂
Water temp today was 17C and clearish – thanks Ruth!
