Doesn’t the time fly!
Stunning morning again with plenty of idiots on hand to enjoy the relatively calm sea.
The offshore idiots ranks swelled with the return of Bevan who has been blazing a trail up hill and down dale on his trusty motorbike; Chris who had been jetsetting; and Dave, and Judy and Dave who have been… well, we have been enjoying the water…
The course today was around a yacht, out to the post, across to the island, back to the dirty cone, and our swim was done and dusted. The water was bracing until past the cones when we started to encounter warm patches. Closer to shore, Judy trod on something squishy which turned out to be a large stingaree. After the excitement, Bob joined us for a photo op.
The Inshore swimming crowd comprised Mike, Bob, Linda, Gayle, Diana, Di, Claire, Judith, Meg, Rod, Ruth, Malcolm, Kerstin, Robert, Louise, Margot, and… oh dear, I should write it down…
The school of little fish that were being devoured by the seagulls and larger fish yesterday, turned out (on closer inspection of the photograph) to be prawns! Intriguing right?!
Great photos again Dave ( apart from the ones that include me !!!! ) The water is indeed perfect , Autumn mornings always provide the best swimming conditions , and lots of marine life . The stingaree which I stood on this morning provided me with an interesting sensation- much better than a jimble . Looking forward to more perfect Autumn swims , before the water gets too cool ?
