Log your Jimble and Bluebottle sightings at Jellywatch

Professor Iain Suthers from the School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences (BEES), and
Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS), UNSW has suggested that in the future we record our sightings of bluebottles or Jimbles at Jellywatch.org. This is what he said:

As a suggestion to gather data, could you organise some of your swimmers to log your observations of jimbles at  http://www.jellywatch.org/  Importantly we need the observations of zeros of course – during winter. Maybe enter in some weekly average as zero, rare, few, many?

Sounds like a great idea to me! Also check out the Facebook page for Jellywatch. There are some really cool photos on there. David, you should post those Jellyfish photos from Botany Bay…

Better still, download the Jellywatch app for your iPhone and do some real-time reporting.
