Eerily quiet on the steps at 6.30 this morning. Air temp a mild 11 or 12, so the water felt icy on first contact, but just what I needed after over-indulging somewhat last night on a bottle of red – thankfully NOT the $1k 1983 Grange, (so that is still intact and for sale if anyone wants to make an offer!) Reports from other swimmers confirmed that the water was deliciously good this morning. Diana
