If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like lo live inside a chocolate box, come to Lucerne in Switzerland. From the cheesily pretty scenery on the outside to the massive 30m full-fat chocolate aisle inside the supermarket, Lucerne is cocoloate box living at its best!
And, as an added bonus, the water of the lake/river is crystal clear, burbling prettily and not as icy as might be expected in an Alpine setting. ( It’s hot here and it won’t be long before I dive in at the lakeside pool that’s a short walk from where we’re staying).
Oh yes, and we met a rower for lunch today too – after her morning training – Rowena is in fine form and counting down to Friday’s heats against Germany/the Netherlands/Poland/team GB/China and more.
Heat 1 kicks off at 12.55pm local time on Friday (8.55 Sydney time).
