Bevan has shipped himself and his BMW Bike to Far North Queensland for a madcap three weeks of touring the Gulf. What this entails is riding dusty tracks, camping in the great outdoors near beautiful croc-infested water holes, and racing full tilt across croc-infested rivers. What an IDIOT!
Fortunately, on this tour he has stopped to take a stunning photo or three so let’s see how his trip is progressing from the safety of our lounge chairs. This is what Week 1 looked like 🙂

Camped at Walsh River which is 440km from Normanton. A day of gravel, sand, cattle, more ruts and sand and more cattle.

Karumba to Gregory Downs…via Normanton and Burketown.
Flat as flat as far as the eye can see. This sure is cattle and wedge-tail eagle country.
