There was a fair turnout this morning despite the drizzle. What a difference to yesterday’s scorcher. Welcome back Rob, who has rejoined the ranks, accompanying Bevan, Chris, Judy, Dave, and Dave for a circuitous swim to the post.
There are plenty of yachts seeking shelter in Hunter Bay so it was a sightseeing tour as we swam around the bow of a beautiful wooden yacht moored near the cones and set a course for the post. Not satisfied with the distance swum, Bevan suggested a trip around “Slow Dance” moored 150m further out. The international visitor hails from San Pedro, California, and is intended to be used for AirBnB accommodation. It certainly looks comfortable at 80 feet long. Check it out on MarineTraffic.
We swam about 1.12kms give or take.
Also enjoying the conditions this morning were Bob, Linda, John M., Rod, Bunny, Geraldine, Catherine, Mike, Meg, Bruce, Robert, Pam and Janice. Water temp was a sultry 20.5C and the air temp a refreshing 18C.
On a final note, don’t forget that the Christmas Party is this Sunday from 8am – 9.30am. Bring yourselves, a few nibbles, and a drink. We look forward to seeing you there.
