Hello from Porto Cervo on the Costa Smeralda in Sardinia. Weather is perfect, the water clearer than I have EVER seen. This morning’s swim was blissful, just the opposite to the weather you are presently experiencing in Sydney! …….. and Gin is 18€ a nip !!!!
Yesterday we met up with Francesco from La Repubblica and his lovely sister Sylvia, in Porto Cervo, on the splendid Costa Smeralda. Francesco has been a great resource for Sardinia and we enjoyed typical Sardinian aperitifs with him (at his insistence his shout (“it’s how we do it” )
Alghero on the West coast was fantastic; we took a boat trip to Neptune’s Grotto on Capo Cappia, and ate wonderful seafood, light, fresh and delicious. Off to Spain at crack of dawn tomorrow, so making the most of this part of the world today. New cooking inspiration, Matt, but no new songs as yet, just practising the old ones/
