Hello Everyone from Costa Rei on the East coast of Sardinia where yesterday we enjoyed our first swim in the balmy ( 21C ) Mediterranean. The water is beautifully clear and it was great to be in the sea again. Sorry to hear Balmoral is so chilly! Before driving here, we spent an interesting day or so on the southernmost tip of Sardinia, just 280 nautical miles from Africa, where we visited fascinating Roman ruins and then stayed in an amazing hotel in a lighthouse (Capo Spartivento ) – very luxurious. We are driving further up the East coast today, then head for the mountainous inland. Hopefully will attach some pics.
Keep warm.. and put on the Ugg boots…
PS Photos are Capo Spartivento Lighthouse / Hotel, beach and sunrise at Costa Rei, lobster offered to us at dinner last night! …… we declined.
PS Meant to be 180 nautical miles , not 280 !!
