We are enjoying a long weekend in this beautiful part of the world , to attend the annual Stradbroke Island Chamber Music Festival, and enjoy the delights of the island . Highlights have been late afternoon , and early morning beach fishing on the superb , 19 mile long Main Beach, reached by 4×4 ; alas only a little Dart ( not a keeper) but very relaxing and plenty to see with whales regularly breaching and putting on a show . Music , as ever has been superb , and we have attended Fri night , Sat breakfast concerts , and Sat evening at the Surf Club .Last night’s concert , performed by Joseph Tawadro Quartet was awesome . Joseph is a virtuoso Oud player ( Egyptian stringed instrument, like a big lute ) – Google him , and a great entertainer . Water has been 19 , but the westerly wind not so
pleasant . Not sure how many fbthe images have made it into this post !! See you all next week
