The number of idiots front and centre swelled by one today with Dave making it down the hill in time to join Bevan, Dave U., and Chris for a swim around the island. I got off to a quick start and had to stop at the end of the island to ensure that the guys weren’t kidding about today’s route. Getting my bearings, I noticed Bevan, Dave, and Chris swimming dangerously close to the headland even with the strong storm surge. Idiots…
Making it to the end cone off Edward’s Beach in one piece, the idiots chatted briefly before Dave U. exited stage right. The other idiots headed around to Bevan’s rock, then down the coast and a dugong to finish. The dugong was particularly fun this morning with the little waves pushing me up onto the shore. Grabbed some photos of big, bad, Bev before he disappears again for a month.
A handful of Seasoned Idiots answered the call… Linda, Tony, Ruth, Di, Malcolm, Vic & Rosemary, Robert, Tim, and Bunny. Mike and Rob were on hand but not swimming.

For those offshore idiots interested in a swim on Monday, we will be heading off at the very reasonable time of 7am. Rob, Chris and Dave have indicated they will be attending thus far.
Hello from Porto Cervo on the Costa Smeralda in Sardinia . Weather is perfect , the water clearer than I have EVER seen . This morning’s swim was blissful, just the opposite to the weather you are presently experiencing in Sydney ! …….. and Gin is 18€ a nip !!!!
Yesterday we met up with Francesco from La Republica, and hopefully I’ll be able to add the photos. Alghero on the West coast was fantastic; we took a boat trip to Neptunes Grotto on Capo Cappia , and ate wonderful seafood , light , fresh and delicious. Off to Spain st crack of dawn tomorrow, so making the most of this part of the world today . New cooking inspiration, Matt , but no new songs as yet , just practising the old ones
